The Power of the Cross
This Devotional is part of the series: RESURRECTION POWER- 7-Day Devotional
Series for (Crown of Faith) Because He lives… everything changes.

Scripture
Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)
“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and
by His wounds we are healed.”
Devotional
The cross was never a mistake.
It was not a moment of defeat—it was a moment of divine purpose.
Jesus chose the cross. He chose the nails. He chose the sacrifice… for you.
Every sin, every burden, every hidden pain—He carried it all so that you wouldn’t have to live under the weight of it anymore.
What looked like suffering…
was actually
love in its deepest form.
The cross reminds us that:
- You are not forgotten
- You are not overlooked
- You are not too far gone
You are covered.
There is nothing in your past that the cross cannot redeem.
There is no wound that God cannot heal.
Today, don’t just remember the cross—
receive what Jesus paid for.
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the cross. Thank You for carrying what I could not carry. Today I lay down every burden, every sin, and every weight at Your feet. Teach me to walk in the freedom You already paid for. Amen.
Reflection
The cross was not defeat—it was divine purpose.
Jesus took on pain, sin, and shame so you wouldn’t have to carry it.
What looked like loss… was actually love in action.
What is one thing you need to lay down at the cross today?
Affirmation
“I am healed, forgiven, and covered by the sacrifice of Jesus.”
