Speak It.

This devotional is part of the series: Faith in Action – Hear It. Believe It. Speak It. Declare It. Live It.

Faith doesn't remain silent. What fills your heart will eventually come out of your mouth. As we speak God's truth instead of our fears, our words begin to align with His promises and reflect the hope we have in Christ.

Return tomorrow for Day 4 — Declare It.

Speak It.

Scripture

Proverbs 16:1

"The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord." (NKJV)

Reflection

Words are powerful because they reveal what is happening in our hearts.

Before our words change, our hearts must first be prepared by God. When we spend time in His presence and fill our minds with His Word, the Holy Spirit gives us wisdom to speak with grace, truth, and faith.

Jesus consistently spoke life. He spoke peace to storms, healing to the sick, forgiveness to sinners, and hope to the broken. His words reflected the Father's heart.

Our words should do the same.

Speaking in faith isn't about denying reality. It is choosing to agree with God's truth even while trusting Him through our circumstances. Every conversation is an opportunity to reflect Christ.

As Proverbs reminds us, we prepare our hearts, but we can trust God to guide our words.

Ask Yourself

  • What fills my heart before I speak?
  • Do my words reflect fear or faith?
  • How can I use my words today to encourage someone and glorify God?

Prayer

Father,

Prepare my heart so my words reflect Your truth. Guard my mouth from speaking fear, anger, or discouragement. Fill me with Your wisdom and help me speak words that bring life, hope, peace, and encouragement to those around me.

Let every word I speak honor You.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

Faith Declaration

My heart is prepared by God.

My words are guided by His wisdom.

I speak life instead of fear.

I encourage others with truth and grace.

My words glorify Christ.

Hear it.

Believe it.

Speak it.

Declare it.

Live it.

Trust in God. Walk in Faith. Shine in Love.
