When the Days Are Heavy

Day 4: When the Days Are Heavy
Scripture
Matthew 11:28
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Devotional
Not every day feels strong.
Some days feel overwhelming—
mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Days when patience runs thin…
when progress feels slow.
There are moments no one sees:
the constant care, the repeated instructions, the emotional weight of wanting the best for your child.
You may smile in public…
but carry silent exhaustion in private.
And in those moments, it’s easy to feel like you have to hold everything together.
But God never asked you to carry everything.
He didn’t say:
“Figure it out.”
“Be perfect.”
“Don’t get tired.”
He said:
“Come to Me.”
Bring the frustration.
Bring the tears.
Bring the questions.
Bring the moments where you feel like you don’t have anything left.
Because rest is not found in having everything under control—
it’s found in
surrender.
And even on your hardest days…
God is still carrying you.
Reflection
Some days are beautiful.
Some days are exhausting.
There are moments no one sees—
the tears, the worry, the mental load, the constant care.
And in those moments, God does not say “try harder.”
He says:
“Come to Me.”
You are not meant to carry this alone.
Prayer
Lord, meet me in my exhaustion and give me rest for my soul.
You see every part of this journey—even the parts no one else sees.
When I feel overwhelmed, help me to come to You instead of carrying it alone.
Give me rest, renew my strength, and refill me with peace.
Amen
Affirmation Faith Declaration
